Water
What is it about water that so intrigues us? Maybe its many reflective colors, or that it moves in its own manner and with its own force. I personally feel that the sound and sight of a body of water somehow centers my thoughts and calms my soul.

The images at Leo Carrillo Beach were on many different days. Each time I went to the same location, the water, the light, and the tide were different. Perhaps our fascination with water is that it is not too different from ourselves; a force of nature that adapts its surroundings, and when necessary, also molds itself and what it confronts to each individual need.

Our respect and admiration for water I am sure, comes from its ability to be both serene yet powerful, whenever its environment requires it to be. Something we humans try, but may not do as well.

Blue Horizon
Marathon Key, Florida

Nothing but blue horizons as far as the eye can see. Rippling waves, tourquise and green, and more shades of blue than you have ever seen. Ah, the calm and solitude of a place so serene.

  Tranquil Cove
Leo Carrillo State Park, California
I have walked in my own willful way and uttered idle words in vain. Turned aside from want or pain, I have found a cove that changed me forever and let me live again.

  Serene Dream
Leo Carrillo State Park, California
Not quite awake, not quite asleep, floating in a peaceful moment of ethereal bliss. Is this where life and dreams seem so much alike and where world itself, if its real feels so perfect.

  Sunset Dream
Leo Carrillo State Park, California
Painted by the sun, light dances with the waves. I gaze and gaze with little thought, what wealth is before me. My heart is free.

  Courage Rising
Kauai, Hawaii
The sun goes down to rise upon some other shore, so fade not, shine on and be strong. Tomorrow is a brand new song.

Water Colors
This work of art represents the simultaneous blending of two values, intensity and serenity. Such a contradiction of values manifest themselves only in nature. Here the intensity of movement from the Koi is presented while the serenity of color offers a delicate balance to the work. The result, a spectacular blend of nature both innocent and powerful.

The Koi in this image where originally captured for the creation of this Giclée painted screen that is printed on canvas in only two forms. One, as a 4 panel screen of 4 (15" x 40" panels), the other as a 31" x 21" canvas print. The screen version is artist enhanced.

Three Rocks at Lake McDonald
Glacier National Park, Montana
The Kootenai people called it "Sacred Dancing Lake" and held ceremonies on its shore. It’s over 10 miles long and its reflective glass like surface hides in nearly 500 ft depth. The road into the park is hidden behind trees runing almost the entire length of the lake, a brilliant isolation of the road from the view at the southern tip, allowing people to enjoy a serene view without imposing the traffic of the park.

Glacier Falls
Glacier National Park, Montana
In smaller form today, this same water flow from Glaciers as well as their massive bulk formed much of the landscape in the Northern sections of the United States.

  Fog Lake
Gyon Bluffs and the Freshwater Lagoon, Northern California
We made a number stops looking for a shot of one of the lagoons along the coast north of Eureka, Califnornia. Finally, we settled on Gyon Bluffs and the Freshwater Lagoon where we had some wonderful fog over the lagoon and the Redwoods in the backround. Even with the highway closeby, the ducks and fisherman were enjoying the beauty of the lagoon.
